Paper Stars Press

Patricia Leavy, Ph.D., created the publishing imprint, Paper Stars Press. Dr. Leavy previously released over 40 books with traditional publishers (from small indie presses to some of the largest and most renowned in the industry). Over the course of her career, she also partnered with several leading publishers and served as creator and editor for 10 successful book series. Through her series, she helped more than 100 authors publish their books, both fiction and nonfiction. Under her leadership, many series titles achieved critical and commercial success. She has taken all this experience to Paper Stars Press where she works with a team of freelance professionals in project management, copy editing, typesetting, and cover design (some of whom she has worked with for many years). The imprint launched in 2021 with its first release, Low-Fat Love: 10th Anniversary Edition.

Dr. Leavy has launched this imprint in order to re-release new versions of some of her most successful and beloved books, retain creative control over her work, and share her writing more efficiently and directly with readers. She also continues to work with select publishers.

Guilford Press Book Series

Patricia Leavy is book series creator and editor for “How-To Qualitative Research Guides” with Guilford Press.  These books offer step-by-step methodological instruction for conventional and popular emerging qualitative methods.
